Other critical MOS can still get Option 40 though.
You can try and wait, but it can be a long wait and there is still no guarantee you will get a option 40 contract. Simply, there just are not very many option 40 contracts released every year. The reanger regiment controls how many option 40 contracts are released and for what MOSs. When they are released, its first come forst serve, on who gets them.
Specifically, soldiers in the 11B Infantryman MOS are riflemen and assist in the performance of reconnaissance operations. They fire and recover anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, which they locate and neutralize as well. These soldiers also engage targets using night vision sights, and operate and maintain communications equipment. Anyone regret getting an Op 40 contract? Anyone ever wish they did something else besides getting an Option 40 contract for the regiment, regardless of MOS? I'm stuck between this or the Air Force. 98 comments. share. save hide report. 74% Upvoted. This thread is archived.
